Exclusive accommodation discounts, massive touring savings and even cheap airfares – Hawaii Tourism Oceania sure knows how to show gratitude to travel agents around Australia.
The tourist bureau’s annual Mahalo Month program is back again this year, giving Australian travel professionals access to a wide range of discounts to the island nation.
As a ‘mahalo’ or ‘thank you’ to consultants, the special month of savings is a sign of gratitude for promoting and selling the Hawaiians Islands over the last year and maintaining Australia’s title as one of the destination’s most important international markets.
Taking place from 1 April to 31 May, this year’s Mahalo Month will have discounted airfares, accommodation and tours for those wishing to travel during the selected time period.
According to Hawai‘i Tourism Oceania’s Country Manager, Kerri Anderson, the annual event gives consultants the chance to travel to the destination and get first-hand experience of what the islands have to offer.

“An increase in direct flights along with low-priced airfares, a growing awareness of Hawai‘i as a holiday destination and continued support from our trade partners have contributed to our strong sales figures.
Accommodation rates start from just US$69 per night with some tours offered free of charge or at a 50 percent discount. In addition, there are also discounts for attractions and dining.
Reservations for accommodation, tours or attractions must be made directly with the participating Hawai‘i industry partner. Travel professionals must download a Mahalo Month for Travel Professionals card from the website to present along with a business card or company authorisation letter and a valid picture ID to receive the Mahalo Month special rate.
