Oh la la. Virgin Australia is bringing the class and smarts to international travel with a completely refurbished Business Class product.
The new suite was unveiled on the first of its refitted Boeing 777-300ER this week, alongside a new Business Class Bar and Lounge PLUS a completely refurbished Premium Cabin.
Currently, only travellers flying across the Pacific will be able to enjoy the schmick new class, which features 37 individual and private suites that convert into the length of a queen sized bed at 80-inches.
Yes, the length of a queen-sized bed – that’s almost better than sleeping at home.

Each Business passenger will have 100 percent direct aisle access with seats in a 1-2-1 configuration and there’s plenty of room to work thanks to the side console area.
For those who prefer to catch up on a few flicks, Virgin’s new Business class has the largest in-flight entertainment screen between Australia and North America – an 18-inch High Definition touch screen featuring the Virgin Australia Entertainment seatback system and a new intuitive user interface.

When it comes to food, guests will enjoy a Luke Mangan-designed menu paried with premium wines. Dishes will be tailored to passengers’ needs through an à la carte or Express Dining service.
The new Business Class Bar and Lounge will be open after the first meal service and hosted by Business Class cabin crew, offering a selection of nibbles and bites, beer, wine and spirits as well as a hot beverage selection with petit fours.

Meanwhile, the airline’s Premium Economy cabin has also undergone a few changes, now featuring 24 seats with more legroom than any other Australian airline.
The class has been renamed ‘Premium’ and offers nine inches of recline; plated meal services inspired by Business Class; Nespresso coffee and Madame Flavour Tea; and two new Signature Service elements including cocktails and Movie Snack.
Films and TV programs can now be viewed on a 10.6 inch screen or guests can plug in and charge their personal electronic devices using the in-seat power and USB outlets.
Virgin Australia also announced Economy Space +, which is a new spacious section of the Boeing 777 main cabin. The first five rows and the exit rows of economy feature extra legroom as well as a range of other features.
All five of the airline’s Boeing 777-300ER aircraft are expected to be refitted by the third quarter of 2016.
