While Qantas works on launching direct flights between Perth and London, Scoot has just opened up a new European gateway for Aussie holidaymakers.
While London reigns as the number one point of entry for Australians heading to Europe, the past few years has seen airlines (such as Cathay Pacific) offer more choice through direct services into new gateways.
Scoot joins that category of airlines with the announcement of its first European service with direct flights between Singapore and Athens.
This means from 20 June next year, Australians will be able to bypass the UK for tanning, sight-seeing and partying (like the Kardashians did) in Greece.
And while a new gateway in itself is exciting, everyone knows that where there’s a Scoot there’s a launch sale and this one is pretty darn crazy offering.
The carrier has flights from Perth to Athens starting from just $369 for Economy FLY.
Seriously? That’s ACTUALLY less than flying around Australia.
FlyBag seats start from $461, FlyBagEat from $526 and $1099 for ScootBiz, inclusive of taxes.
The airline’s first long-haul flight to Europe will be operated by the 787 Dreamliner featuring Economy seats with a 30” to 34” seat pitch and ‘child-free zones’ in the ScootinSilence Economy.
There’s also inflight Wi-Fi plans and more.
