OMFG the largest and most technologically advanced ship to cruise our shores is a little over three months away from making her grand debut in Australia.
Her name is Ovation of the Seas.
She belongs to Royal Caribbean – you know, the guys that put surf simulators on their ships and have Pixar characters running around entertaining the young ones – and is part of the Quantum-class that is often described as revolutionary due to their advanced tech, high-speed wi-fi and never-ending features.
Her arrival is so highly anticipated, Royal Caribbean has had to extend her stay in Australia twice to meet demand. And we’re so excited, we’ve even added her arrival date into our ‘Big Day’ app.

Royal Caribbean International Australia and New Zealand’s Managing Director, Adam Armstrong, said earlier this year that he expects Ovation’s arrival will revolutionise local cruising.
“This ship truly redefines cruise holidays for Australian travellers and her arrival this December will usher in a revolutionary new era of travel, unlike anything ever seen here before.”
Adam Armstrong, Royal Caribbean International Australia & New Zealand Managing Director
