Seat pockets aren’t exactly the most hygienic part of a plane, but apparently they can be the most lucrative and you’ll want to inspect yours thoroughly every time you fly – before you start using it as your own little rubbish bin.
Word going around the aviation grapevine is that a traveller recently found US$200 in the seat pocket of a Qantas aircraft.
The rumour was false… well actually, it wasn’t exactly correct.
The Qantas passenger found $1,900 on a flight from Melbourne to Los Angeles last week.
Yeah, he/she practically got a return on the cost of his/her flight.
Except, the passenger was an honest one (#respect) and decided to hand the wad of cash to the cabin manager who turned it into head office where the money will remain for three months.
If no-one comes forward to claim the cash in the next three months, it will be donated to UNICEF (as Qantas usually does with unclaimed cash) – nice work Qantas.
