TALENTED AGENTS: Which Travel Agents think outside the customer service box?

Customer service may seem as easy as smiling, listening and meeting your client's every request, but not for these Travel Agents who have found new ways to keep travellers happy.

Customer service may seem as easy as smiling, listening and meeting your client’s every request, but not for these Travel Agents who have found new ways to keep travellers happy.

They’re a group of four Travel Agents who have thought well outside the customer service box to land themselves in finalists list for this year’s Avis Scholarship.

As part of this year’s program, entrants were asked to prove that they deliver extraordinary customer service in an innovative way.

Cei Creighton from MTA, Carolyn Cruickshank from Flight Centre, Krystle Tse from Traveledge and Jo Patton from TravelManagers, did just that.

The four impressed a panel of judges with their unique thinking and are now in the running to win a scholarship prize valued at $40,000, which includes international travel to Singapore to attend the 2019 WIT Conference, professional guidance and access to education and training opportunities with organisations such as the Cruise Lines International Association Australia (CLIA).

Ian Jones, Commercial Director of Avis Budget Group Pacific, described the finalists’ work as “setting the bar high for the whole trave industry”.

“We are thrilled with the continued enthusiasm the industry has for the Avis Travel Agent Scholarship  program and are very excited by the standard of excellence shown this year.”

The official judging day and winner announcement will be on 13 November 2018.

Good luck!
