Flying Premium Economy with British Airways may feel a little more like Business Class once the carrier completes a substantial upgrade of the cabin.
World Traveller Plus – the carrier’s Premium Economy Cabin – has been included in a five-year £6.5 billion (AU$11.7 billion) investment plan designed to improve the flying experience for all guests.
As part of the Premium Economy upgrade, flyers will see changes to the cabin’s seats and services, such as 50 percent larger entertainment screens (on the A350), six-way adjustable leg, foot and headrests (on the A350), as well as new amenity kits, quilts and pillows.
World Traveller Plus guests will receive new dining options from 1 February 2019, including a third meal choice for the main course and a more substantial hot second meal later. They’ll also be able to pre-order their main meal up to 24 hours before departure.
British Airways’ Director of Brand and Customer Experience, Carolina Martinoli, said World Traveller Plus customers will see and enjoy “real change” in the cabin.
“In February the new menus will launch, followed in the Spring by the introduction of new amenity kits, quilts and pillows for added comfort and a touch of luxury.”
