Although based inside a renovated 1920s Spanish Colonial Revival building, the Santa Monica Proper is described as a sleek and modern property with 271 rooms designed by prominent interior designer Kelly Wearstler.

There are 10 different room categories to choose from – including Deluxe King, Deluxe Double Queen, Garden Terrace King and more – and each comes with a view of either the ocean or the city. Other highlights of the property include rental surfboards, a 24-hour fitness centre, an in-house spa and a restaurant lounge.
