Cook Islands Tourism has introduced a new travel agent specialist programme, where you can skill up and be rewarded with discount on your next holiday.
As talks of international borders getting closer to opening between Australia and the Cook Islands increase, travel agents are encouraged to become Cook Islands specialists through an all-new online training platform, focused on the two most popular of the 15 islands – Rarotonga and Aitutaki.

Until you can actually visit, you can travel vicariously through this fun training programme and beautiful content from the Cook Islands.
Picture this, you’ve just landed in Rarotonga and checked into your accommodation. What would you like to do first?
You can be stand-up paddleboarding on the crystal clear lagoon, sipping on your first cocktail or relaxing poolside at your beautiful resort.
How about booking yourself onto an exhilarating 4×4 island tour, setting off on the magical cross island walk or heading to the market for a taste of delicious local cuisine?
Then, after a few days, a week or more, take a scenic flight to one of the other smaller islands to explore the culture and underwater wonderland the Cook Islands has to offer.
No matter where you are or what you want to do, the time is yours to enjoy.

The training platform is free for travel agents and features five modules:
1. About the Cook Islands
2. About Rarotonga
3. Where to stay and things to do in Rarotonga
4. About Aitutaki
5. Where to stay and things to do in Aitutaki.
The modules provide an in-depth insight into the landscape, access, weather, seasons, currency, accommodation and transport around the islands.
Once complete, travel agents can download a Certification of Completion certifying themselves as specialists in selling the Cook Islands.
Registration and completion of the specialist program also provides travel agents with the opportunity to avail themselves of agent incentives and discounts for their own travel.
