United ups Sydney to San Francisco schedule to 10 weekly flights from December

United Airlines will increase its Sydney–San Francisco direct flight schedule from daily flights to 10 weekly flights with the addition of three extra weekly seasonal services, starting from 14 December 2022 to 8 February 2023 on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

United Airlines will increase its Sydney–San Francisco direct flight schedule from daily flights to 10 weekly flights with the addition of three extra weekly seasonal services, starting from 14 December 2022 to 8 February 2023 on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.

The boosted flight schedule will strengthen United Airlines’ leading position in overall service to Australia and give United more seats from the US to Australia during the Northern Hemisphere winter season than any other carrier.

United’s Senior Vice President of Global Network Planning & Alliances Patrick Quayle said: “United has a great history serving Australia and with our new codeshare partnership with Virgin Australia, the future is even brighter.”

“With strong demand for the upcoming northern winter season, we’re proud to add even more travel options for our customers, both in the US and in Australia.”

The airline will commence its direct Brisbane–San Francisco flights on 28 October, offering non-stop services from three major Australian cities: flying to San Francisco from Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney; Los Angeles from Melbourne and Sydney; and its Sydney–Houston service.

United will also increase its current thrice-weekly Melbourne–San Francisco route to a daily service from 28 October.

All Australian services are on Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners except for the San Francisco–Sydney service, which is operated on a 777-300ER.
