Build a strong business - the TravelManagers way

Usually, when you want to make life improvements, it takes a ton of work. Like having to tolerate that awful stair machine at the gym to get a good butt. Or making a fool of yourself as you learn boxing techniques. When you are an experienced travel advisor and want to manage your own travel business, do it with confidence by partnering with TravelManagers!

TravelManagers is Australia’s leading home-based mobile travel advisory business. Their dedicated team at the National Partnerships Office (NPO) help hundreds of personal travel manager (PTM) partners around the country increase their revenue, grow their client base, and thrive. All without the effort associated with a wide range of tasks when working on your own.

How? They have created an award-winning model (NTIA’s Most Outstanding Mobile Home-Based Travel Advisor Network 2019 and 2022) that helps you do what you love with all the support you need, while earning what you deserve.

Do what you love

TravelManagers complement your travel expertise with support for every aspect of your business, even for those areas you downright loathe. It’s the equivalent of TravelManagers doing your leg day for you!

Love sales but would rather actually do leg day than create social media posts? TravelManagers has incredible marketing assets, including editable flyers, newsletters, and social media tiles to make it easy for you.

Support worth raving about

As travel looks set to surpass pre-pandemic booking levels soon, PTMs have been raving about the support they received during COVID from the NPO team.

Lisa Malnar, a Northern Territory-based PTM, said, “During the first few months of COVID, we struggled to help our clients cancel and redeem as much money as possible.”

“Without the help of all the NPO team and their relationships with suppliers, I wouldn’t have gotten such great results for my clients. Now with travel back, we are all swamped, and NPO continues with exemplary support.”

Every relationship matters

During COVID, TravelManagers created industry updates and domestic marketing material allowing their PTMs to maintain contact with their database of clients. It’s a move that is delivering results now!

It’s not just the marketing support. Or the accounting help or the up-to-the-minute travel news. TravelManagers also maintained their robust supplier relationships during these difficult times.

Connections stronger than ever

Healthy supplier relationships don’t only mean fun buzz nights. They also mean great rates, special deals, and staying front of mind, something that’s a challenge to do when you’re flying solo.

And those suppliers relish TravelManagers’ commitments to relationships, too. Martine Nunes, BDM for Oceania Cruises commented, “Working with Travel Managers through 2020 & 2021 was fortunate as throughout COVID, the TravelManagers team supported Oceania Cruises on many levels. This has led to a smoother transition in the return of travel and a greater appreciation of our partnership.”

Harry Sargant, Marketing Manager (AU) for Inside Travel Group agrees, “Our business with TravelManagers was growing strongly before COVID which resulted in us working closely with the National Partnership Office team throughout the pandemic to provide virtual tours of Japan, help PTMs with rebooking’s and cancellations etc. Our relationship with TravelManagers is stronger than ever. It is a joy to work with highly motivated Business Partnership Managers who really care for their PTMs and its great to experience TravelManagers business bouncing back, now that Japan is reopen, and the PTMs are taking on our InsideAsia brand.”

TravelManagers has got your back

When you’re lifting weights, support is crucial. Think of TravelManagers as the spotter to your bench press. Metaphorically, of course. They do this by having your back regardless of the business environment or trading circumstances.

Where others flipped the sign to ‘closed’ during COVID, TravelManagers remained consistent in their mission, business delivery, and how they showed up for everyone. Where communication was chaotic elsewhere during COVID, TravelManagers produced clear and regular communication throughout.

Unending support

Daiana Magalhaes, a WA-based PTM knows this all too well. She started operating her business in January 2020 (ouch) and said, “I wouldn’t have wanted to be working anywhere else during the pandemic”.

She continues, “TravelManagers provided unending support, including a mental health wellness assistance program, fun online evenings, reduced monthly fees, and a focus on laughter to momentarily forget the doom and gloom. More importantly, they kept connections going with each other, which assisted in stopping the isolation that was being imposed through government restrictions.”

Going above and beyond

That focus on reliable and frequent communication is not to be trivialised. During a time when lockdowns forced loved ones apart and pushed people into isolation, having friendly faces, and a “we’re here for you” attitude kept some PTMs afloat.

Tasmania-based PTM, Melanie Whyte was full of praise, “TravelManagers provided more support during Covid than any other agency network I know of. Peers at other agencies missed substantial cancellation rule changes, whilst we were getting weekly and sometimes daily updates.”

“At TravelManagers, we had full access to accounting and ticketing support, invaluable when chasing refunds with ever-changing conditions. Marketing support also helped us pivot our businesses. And we never felt alone, thanks to a myriad of Zoom meetings and closed-user chats.”
