The Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO) is inviting the travel industry to its first International Women’s Day (IWD) Luncheon.
Taking place on Wednesday, 8 March 2023, the CATO event will be held at L’Aqua in Cockle Bay, Sydney.
The council says the entire travel industry is invited to the luncheon, which will include a two-course sit-down lunch, all drinks and networking opportunities.
In line with this year’s IWD theme to “Embrace Equity”, the event will also include a panel discussion of female leaders from across the council’s membership, who will share stories from their own journeys.
“We have some extraordinary talent within our membership group and this event is designed to put a spotlight on the tremendous work of some of these outstanding individuals,” CATO managing director Brett Jardine said in announcing the event.
“CATO will also be supporting a local charity to benefit from the event and confirmed the event will be open to all travel industry participants”.
More information on the event, including details about sponsors and panellists, will be revealed in the coming weeks.
Tickets are on sale now for $125 (including GST) and are available on the CATO website at www.cato.travel/events
CATO hosted its first Travel Industry Christmas lunch in three years in December, an event also open to the entire travel industry.
Late last year, the council was also busy lobbying the Federal Government, with a plea for an Open Skies agreement at the top of its agenda.
Additionally, CATO held a series of networking and educational seminars across the east coast.
