Flight Centre staff spill the beans on travel escapades

You don’t work at Flight Centre if you don’t love travelling. And travel can make for some pretty great stories. From partying in Vegas with the Hiltons to finding love in a supermarket in Ghana, the people at Flight Centre are sharing their travel tales with the world.

You know you’re in for a good yarn when someone starts a story with, “This one time…”. You can thank American Pie for that. And in a new video series dubbed This One Time, Flighties will lay bare just some of their many adventures on the road.

From wanderlust to WTF

According to Flight Centre’s Global Head of Marketing, Clinton Hearne, the videos are “fizzing with inspo”. The series offers an ultimate aperitif to travel, featuring laughs, whoa-moments, joys, and outright face-palms.

“Everyone has travel stories they share with those they know,” Hearne said.

“So we wanted to give this instantly identifiable form of storytelling a platform that we hope will resonate.”

Flight Centre hopes the videos act “as little reminder notes” to encourage people to start planning that next trip.

Remember the kids?

Flight Centre’s YouTube channel is experiencing “a golden patch”, thanks to the popularity of its Kids Talk travel series, Hearne said.

“YouTube has become an indispensable channel for people sourcing inspiration and information to shape their travel plans,” he said.

“With a bit of customary Flight Centre cheek, where we don’t take ourselves too seriously, we hope our This One Time series will spark many more travel stories.”

So if your next holiday still feels like forever away, check out Flight Centre’s This One Time video series. These one-minute holidays may just be the inspiration you need.
