Firstly, who in their right mind has leftover chocolate Easter eggs?! Sure, they make an appearance on supermarket shelves before Mariah sings the last line of ‘All I want for Christmas is you’, but who doesn’t have time for a bite-sized ball of chocolatey goodness?
If you’re one of those rare unicorns who has had all the chocolate you can manage, and by some miracle find yourself with a basket of eggs you just can’t move, we’ve got some ideas for what you can do with them.
Easter eggs + coffee = bliss bomb
Agents are busy. So, let’s just assume you’re on multiple coffees a day. Pop a small solid egg in one of them for an extra chocolate hit. If you’re feeling fancy, why not use an egg instead of a traditional cup. It’ll be messy but delicious!
Easter egg coffee:
Easter eggs + alcohol = even better
For something more festive, a chocolate ‘egg’spresso martini is an adults-only passport to chocolate heaven. And you don’t even need a martini glass. Just use one of those bigger eggs instead. *If you don’t have a big egg, a glass will do. Just be sure to chocolate up that rim.
THE RECIPE
Ingredients:
- 30ml kahlua
- 30ml vodka
- 15ml vanilla syrup
- 60ml instant espresso
- Ice
- A biggish chocolate egg
- Smaller solid eggs
Method:
- Take a big old bite out of the egg. Or, if you’re feeling fancy, run some hot water over a knife and slice off the top. You can save this to garnish, if you haven’t already eaten it.
- Pop all your liquid ingredients together in a jar or that cocktail shaker you got on your 18th birthday. Add some ice and give it all a hefty shake.
- Pour through a funnel into the egg. Add the smaller eggs. Because you can.
- Drink responsibly. Because you probably still have a couple hours work ahead of you.

Make a chocolate face mask
Mum used to tell me chocolate was bad for my skin. She lied. Apparently, if you melt about 100g of chocolate, throw in about 2/3 a cup of milk, a tablespoon of sea salt and three tablespoons of brown sugar, you’ve got yourself a face mask.
Let the mixture cool, bung it on your face for 15 minutes or so and you’ll have treated your face to an antioxident rich treat that does something with free radicals etc. Just don’t let the mixture harden on your face or you’ll become an Easter egg yourself.

Sweeten the deal
Offload them onto your clients. This allows you to start a conversation about how awesome chocolate is and you can tell them about your latest chocolate-themed travel package. As they’re chomping away on an egg, take them on a journey with the world’s best chocolatiers. Spin tales of chocolate tastings and chocolate spa treatments. And then send them to Switzerland to visit the Lindt Chocolate Factory or book them a room at the chocolate-themed hotel in Belgium.
Keep ‘em guessing
Pop all the leftover eggs in a jar and get your clients to guess how many are in there. The winner gets the jar and the problem of the leftover chocolate Easter eggs is theirs. You may want to forward this article to them.

Add them to your next batch of cupcakes
The scent of freshly baked goods is hard to ignore. Make some cupcakes and let the smell waft through the office (helped by the chocolate scented candle your burning).
No judgement if you use packet mix. Just roughly chop up half your leftover easter eggs and cut the others in half. After you’ve spooned in your cake mixture, pop your easter eggs on the top. You can even add a raspberry, because health.
And there you have it. Some easy ideas to get rid of those eggs. Easier still, would be to have children. No chocolate survives children.
