Buckle-up foodies! Qatar Airways will satisfy your cravings with its new onboard dining options. From braised Victorian lamb shank with coconut rendang sauce to New South Wales beef tenderloin with potato fondant, Australians flying with Qatar Airways are in for a culinary treat 30,000 feet up.

Get ready to have your taste buds take off! Qatar Airways’ newly launched menus feature premium (and fresh, local) ingredients from sustainable suppliers across Australia. Plus, the menus will be rotated frequently, so you won’t get bored of the same old plane food. And the best part? The outbound and inbound flight menus are different too. So you’re not eating the same food twice!

What’s on the menu

Business Class passengers can savour delicious dishes such as New South Wales beef tenderloin with potato fondant. Or there’s Hunter Valley chicken breast stuffed with tomato and ricotta. From farther south it’s braised Victorian lamb shank with coconut rendang sauce. But Economy Class passengers won’t be disappointed. They can relish local favourites like Queensland barramundi with mild spicy kung pao sauce. Or there’s Tasmanian smoked salmon with toasted English muffin.

The new menu also includes a refreshed wine menu featuring two Australian wines and one from New Zealand.

“Qatar Airways works closely with farmers and wine-makers around Australia to source seasonal local, fresh, and healthy ingredients,” Qatar Airways’ VP of Catering Services Shashank Bhardwaj said.

“We are excited to share Australian produce with the world through our in-flight dining experience.”

Qatar Airways has rolled out the menus in stages throughout its Australian network. And they are available to both Business and Economy Class passengers on all flights.

Qatar Airways flies over 40 times a week to 5 Australian cities. Recently, the 2022 World Airline Awards announced Qatar Airways as the ‘Airline of the Year’, showcasing the airline’s commitment to excellence.
