Seattle is the Emerald City in the Evergreen State. It’s a city rich in attractions, scenery, yummy food, and good vibes. So, how to plan the perfect Seattle itinerary to maximise your client’s time there? We share insider tips and a 4-day itinerary from Washington aficionados Linkd Tourism.

Day One

Probably the Northwest Coast’s most iconic monument, the Space Needle is the symbol of Seattle and the perfect starting point. Two viewing levels with floor-to-forever glass and the world’s first revolving glass floor present visitors with unbelievable views of Seattle, Puget Sound, Mount Rainier and beyond.

Next MoPOP! Nope, MoPOP is not the sound of your lips smacking after sipping a delectable Seattle craft beer, but the Museum of Pop Culture. It’s the city’s most fabulous location for all things contemporary music, film and creativity. And it’s only a 2-minute walk from the Space Needle!

Is there anything more Seattle than catching a sports game? Possibly not! Why not end day one’s adventures on a high by scoring tickets to a game? Your clients can revel in Seattle’s sports-mad atmosphere at a Seattle Mariners (baseball), Seattle Seahawks (NFL), or Sounders FC game (soccer) game.

No games on? How about a stadium tour to T-Mobile Park, Lumen Field, or the Climate Pledge Arena? The latter is home to the Seattle Kraken (ice hockey) and Seattle Storm (basketball).

Day Two

Pike Market Seattle

Kick-off day two with a visit to Chihuly Garden and Glass, a creatively inspiring stunning glass sculpture garden by artist Dale Chihuly. It’s perfect for art and nature lovers.

From modern musings to historic wanderings, Pike Place Market is next. Opened in 1907, it’s a thriving destination to enjoy decadent local flavours, on-trend artisanal crafts, and oh-so-Seattle treats. The Show me Seattle food tour is a brilliant way to make the most of Pike Place Market, and don’t forget to grab an iced venit latter at the world’s first Starbucks!

Pike Place sits above the historic Waterfront, an ideal place to continue the meandering before a ride on the iconic Seattle Great Wheel.

End the day on a literal high at Smith Tower. This historic skyscraper is perfect for sunset drinks and fab views.

Day three

It’s wine o’clock somewhere, and that somewhere is Woodinville Wine Country, a breezy 30-minute drive from downtown Seattle.

With 130+ wineries across four winemaking districts – Downtown, Hollywood, Warehouse, and West Valley – every wine lover can find a tipple to match style and budget.

If your clients are more cerevisaphiles (beer connoisseurs) than oenophiles (wine lovers), Seattle is known as the brewing capital of the USA. Many of the best craft breweries are walkable, offering travellers the perfect excuse to see Seattle on foot… between pale ales and IPAs, of course! The Fremont region is an ideal place to kick off the adventure.

Day four

Seattle also offers unique neighbourhoods to explore, perfect now your clients are familiar with the Emerald City’s key attractions.

For foodies, on-trend Ballard sets tastebuds aflame. For history buffs, Pioneer Square is the city’s oldest neighbourhood, though downtown’s First Hill and North Capitol Hill impress, too.

If your clients are looking for party vibes and brunch hangs at the LBGTQ+ epicentre, the cool-as Capitol Hill is where it’s at. And did you know there’s even a chillin’ beach town with cool cafes and boutiques in West Seattle

Oh, and one last stop before departing the Emerald City: the Museum of Flight (near the airport) to see the largest air and space museum in the world.
