La Dolce Vita Orient Express, Italy’s first luxury train, is now open for bookings for departures launching in 2025.
The all-inclusive luxury train trips on La Dolce Vita Orient Express include eight, round-trip ‘Made in Italy’ itineraries, departing from Rome, and traversing over 14 regions and 131 cities across Italy.
Trips will take in popular Italian destinations such as Venice, Matera, Tuscany, Piedmont, Portofino, Abruzzo and Sicily.
On board, guests will dine on cuisine created by acclaimed three-Michelin starred Chef, Heinz Beck, who will oversee culinary operations.

“It is a privilege to join La Dolce Vita Orient Express at this key period in the revival of the iconic Orient Express brand and the launch of Italy’s first foray into luxury rail hospitality,” said newly-appointed General Manager, Samy Ghachem.
“La Dolce Vita Orient Express is set to offer an inimitable take on luxury rail travel, reigniting a bygone era through a contemporary lens, Italian style,” he said. The train’s interior design meets a brief to inspire the art of Italian living. Interiors celebrate the timeless craftsmanship of the 1960s and 1970s ‘La Dolce Vita’ period.

La Dolce Vita Orient Express will feature 12 carriages that host no more than 62 passengers. Accommodations are 12 deluxe cabins, 18 suites and one La Dolce Vita Suite.
The train journeys will include access to the newly established La Dolce Vita Orient Express Executive Lounge at Roma Ostiense for a comfortable and seamless travel experience.
Prices start from EUR3,500 (about AUD$5,793) per person in a deluxe cabin for a one-night itinerary.

As outlined by an Accor spokesperson at ILTM Asia Pacific in July, the launch of this train precedes the anticipated openings of the first two Orient Express hotels by Accor: Orient Express La Minerva in Rome, followed by Orient Express Palazzo Donà Giovannelli in Venice.
More details are to follow later in 2024.
