Festive fleet & food

The flying kangaroo is also embracing the holiday spirit with a festive fleet makeover and customer experience upgrades just in time for Christmas.
In cheerful Christmas style, Qantas has unveiled new ‘Dasher-8’ and ‘Roo-dolph’ liveries for QantasLink Q400 and Boeing 737 aircraft.
Travellers flying on these planes in December will enjoy double points as part of Qantas’ new initiatives.
“We know our customers, especially the youngest ones, love flying on our special festive aircraft and so we are delighted they are making a return in 2024,” Qantas Group Chief Customer and Digital Officer Catriona Larritt said.
“Our teams have been working hard over several months to prepare our operations to be ready to help millions of customers to see their family and friends throughout the holiday season.”

Meanwhile, the airline’s Creative Director of Food, Beverage and Service, Neil Perry has designed new inflight and lounge menus featuring premium Australian ingredients like Margra lamb and Glacier 51 toothfish.
Thirsty travellers will also notice an overhauled beer selection in its lounges, with local favourites like Hawke’s Lager in Sydney and Gage Roads Single Fin Summer Ale in Perth, while in the sky, guests can sip on the new Qantas Aviation Spritz or a refreshing Bloody Mary.
Qantas says it will roll out more festive surprises, including giveaways and airport activations in the lead-up to the big day.
In addition, Qantas is celebrating the connections that matter most with a Qantas Christmas Giveaway. Travel agents are invited to share heartwarming stories of connection made possible by travel for a chance to win.
