More to enjoy

Head to Europe to see the power of Iceland’s waterfalls, like Skogafoss.

As global cruise innovators for nearly 60 years, NCL has an exciting range of more than 150 European itineraries across the Mediterranean, Greek Isles, Northern Europe, and beyond. With nine ships sailing until November, including the all-new Norwegian Viva®, this is the time to say yes to more.

While Italy’s chic beach clubs and Iceland’s windswept beauty may be calling, the rising cost of airfares and record-high hotel rates can make travel feel out of reach.

This is where cruise holidays come in, providing the best value-for-money way to travel in 2025. This is especially true with NCL’s commitment to delivering more in every way:

  • 50 overnight stays in cities like Reykjavik, Copenhagen, and Istanbul
  • More seven-14-night sailings
  • More time in port, with an average of 10 hours

With must-sees like Spain, Italy, and Greece, plus trending destinations like Finland, Norway, and Portugal, now is the time to book. For the ultimate in-depth exploration, NCL’s expanded range of multi-day pre-or post-cruise tours in 11 ports—such as Venice, Athens, and Tromsø—offer an even richer experience.

NCL makes Europe accessible. With a cruise, guests unpack once and skip the travel logistics headaches that come with land-based travel.

Additionally, NCL’s port-immersive itineraries feature late-night departures and overnight stays (on select sailings), allowing guests to fully experience destinations after dark – whether it’s enjoying a Santorini sunset or a glamorous dinner on the Bosphorus River.

More freedom, less $$$

Journalist Kirsten Kellahan compared hotel prices vs cruise costs in Barcelona when cruising with NCL in 2024. Read on for details

Travel experts agree that cruising is an ideal way to reap value when holidaying overseas. “When you consider the costs of independent travel on land, the daily expenses of meals, hotels, transport, and attractions can quickly add up,” says Joel Katz, Managing Director of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA).

“Even relatively small food purchases become expensive once you factor in exchange rates and juggling multiple currencies.”

Travel journalist Kirsten Kellahan agrees. In 2024, she cruised Spain, France, Italy, and Malta aboard Norwegian Escape®. Out of curiosity, she compared hotel prices versus cruise costs in each destination.

“In the South of France, Barcelona, and Mallorca, hotel rates for well-reviewed, conveniently located accommodation were above $600 per night, often soaring toward $1,000,” she said.

“It was such a pleasure to avoid those eye-watering hotel expenses. Each day, I experienced a beautiful new island or coastal port (hello, Sicily and Sardinia) without the hassle of packing, navigating airports, train stations, or taxis.”

While that three-star hotel (with 5-star prices) may be skimping on amenities, NCL is offering more.

Beyond the savings of choosing a European cruise, NCL’s exclusive More at Sea™ package delivers even greater value—over $3,250 worth of added benefits. This includes:

For everything else, pre-book your costs upfront. As Kirsten Kellahan said “Start tallying up the cost of a few Aperol Spritzes onshore, and it’s easy to see why a package is a great deal.”

With up to 50% off European sailings, there’s never been a better time to book.

“We’re proud to offer more of what Aussies want in a European holiday – more to see, more to do, more to enjoy, as well as more value. Our European itineraries explore a new port almost every day and feature extended time in port with more overnight and late evening departure to ensure every journey is as enriching as it is effortless,” said Ben Angell, VP and Managing Director, NCL APAC.

“When it comes to combining more inclusive value with the benefits of cruising, our ‘More at Sea™’ package is delivering more of what our guests love – more specialty dining nights, more premium beverages, more Wi-Fi minutes and more shore excursions to explore.”
