Movers + Shakers: A&K relaunches world’s oldest travel company with new Managing Director Jennifer Charlton

Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group will launch the global expansion of Cox & Kings into key markets, such as the US and Australia, under the leadership of newly appointed Managing Director Jennifer Charlton.

Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group will launch the global expansion of Cox & Kings into key markets, such as the US and Australia, under the leadership of newly appointed Managing Director Jennifer Charlton.

Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group acquired Cox & Kings, widely recognised as the world’s oldest travel company and established in 1758, in 2019. 

It also follows USD$500 million in funding in late 2024 for Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group to continue its global business expansion plans and a recent rebrand.

The appointment of Charlton as Managing Director will see C&K expand on its historical legacy to offer a curated portfolio of exceptional travel experiences to travellers in pivotal markets. 

UK-based Charlton will leverage the Group’s strong global network and destination marketing company (DMC) network to broaden C&K’s geographical footprint and cement its position as a purveyor of distinctive immersive travel.

She will still hold her position as Abercrombie & Kent Travel Group Senior Vice President Sales & Business Development UK & EMEA.

Charlton brings more than 30 years’ travel industry experience to her expanded role and has held senior sales, business development and partnership positions at KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, CWT and Amex GBT.
