Hawaiian Airlines has unveiled its new Disney A330 livery, flying to Sydney and other US & Pacific destinations, featuring the beloved character Stitch to tie in with the upcoming release of the new live-action Lilo & Stitch movie on 23 May 2025.
The new livery adorning Hawaiian Airlines’ Airbus A330 aircraft features the animated Disney character, Stitch, with a hibiscus flower behind his ear, mirroring the Pualani (“flower of the skies”) symbol on the tail of every HA plane.
It’s one of three special liveries to promote the new Lilo & Stitch movie, which is set in Hawai‘i, and follows a similar Hawaiian Airlines x Disney tie-up with Moana 2 last year.
The second themed aircraft will be covered in Stitch’s own scribbly drawings on a narrow-body Airbus A321 flying US domestic routes, tracing the lei that wraps around the plane.
A third Boeing B717 aircraft, which will mainly service inter-island routes, will be unveiled in June 2025.
Hawai‘i’s flagship carrier and Disney have teamed up to highlight a key theme of the film: the importance of ‘ohana (family).
The Disney character theme will flow throughout the inflight experience with Stitch interrupting the inflight Travel Pono video with tips on responsible travel in Hawai‘i .
Exclusive Lilo & Stitch-themed apparel and merchandise will be available on board select flights and online.
There’s also a Searching for Stitch augmented reality (AR) experience – an interactive digital travel guide to collect animated Stitch characters at various spots on Hawai‘i Island, Kauai, Maui, Molokai, Lanai and Oahu, tied to the Travel Pono program.

Hawaiian Airlines Director of Brand & Culture Alisa Onishi said: “Hawai‘i is our home and we consider our guests to be our ‘ohana.”
“Our hope is that all who visit our islands feel welcomed from the moment they step onboard, just as Lilo welcomed Stitch. We’re also excited to have Stitch be our new Travel Pono ambassador through an AR experience and as the star of our in-flight video, where he learns valuable lessons on how to be a mindful visitor.”
