Jetstar confirms Brisbane–Cebu & Perth–Manila direct flights will take off in 2025

As teased earlier this year, Jetstar will launch a new, nonstop seasonal service from Brisbane to Cebu on 3 December 2025, connecting Queenslanders directly to the Philippines’ second-largest city, Cebu City. Year-round direct Perth–Manila flights will also take off from 27 November 2025.

It’s a massive win for Brisbane Airport, representing the hub’s highest number of direct international flights ever at 34, and is also the only direct link between Australia and Cebu and the sole nonstop service outside of Manila.

The new, nonstop Brisbane–Cebu and Perth–Manila services will operate three times a week on JQ’s next-gen Airbus A321LR aircraft.

Together, the routes will add more than 108,000 low-fare seats annually between Australia and the Philippines.

It’s JQ’s seventh international route from BNE and Group CEO Stephanie Tully said it highlights the carrier’s continued growth in Asia.

“The launch of low-fare direct flights to the Philippines is an exciting milestone, unlocking two amazing destinations for Aussie travellers,” she said.

“As demand for low-cost international travel continues to grow, our pipeline of new aircraft is helping us deliver even more low fares to new destinations – so our customers can take off more, for less.”

The new route marks the 34th direct international flight for BNE.

Brisbane Airport CEO Gert-Jan de Graaff said: “We know Queenslanders love to experience new destinations and Cebu will deliver in spades with gorgeous islands and people, rich Spanish colonial history and vibrant street food culture.”

BNE-CEB services will depart Brisbane on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 12:30pm, arriving in Cebu at 5:15pm. The seasonal service will operate until 16 May 2026.

The PER–MNL route will depart on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 9:10pm, arriving in Manila at 4:15am.
