Sydney is the only Australian city where travellers can now experience Korean Air’s brand-new Prestige Suites 2.0, the airline’s next-generation business-class product debuting aboard its Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner.
The upgraded aircraft now operating between Sydney and Seoul offers travellers a high-tech, high-comfort cabin featuring sliding-door suites, full-flat beds, in-flight WiFi and a new entertainment system designed to rival top Asian carriers. For the Australian trade, it marks a major selling point in the premium-Asia market as demand continues to climb.
Inside Prestige Suites 2.0
Each of the 24 Prestige Suites 2.0 is configured in a 1-2-1 layout, giving every passenger direct aisle access. The new suite transforms into a 198-centimetre fully flat bed and features enhanced privacy with high walls and a sliding door. A 60-centimetre ultra-high-definition screen supports Bluetooth audio and comes with dual USB-C charging ports, wireless charging and AC power.

Korean Air has also added full in-flight WiFi on the 787-10 fleet, a first for its Sydney service. Each suite’s design blends Korean cultural elements, including jogakbo patchwork motifs and tones inspired by traditional porcelain, with practical touches such as expanded side-tables, larger storage areas and intuitive seat controls.
What’s on offer for Sydney travellers
Passengers can expect refreshed bedding, noise-reducing materials, ambient mood lighting and an improved galley service. The airline says its aim is to elevate comfort on long-haul flights to Seoul and beyond, while offering a consistent business-class product across its modernised fleet.
The Dreamliner’s deployment to Sydney also signals the route’s growing importance to Korean Air, which has increased capacity to meet strong two-way demand from leisure and corporate markets.
Why it matters for agents
For Australian travel advisors, the introduction of the Prestige Suites 2.0 gives Korean Air a distinct premium edge in the competitive North Asia market. The combination of direct Sydney access, a next-generation cabin, and the return of in-flight WiFi makes it a standout option for clients connecting to Europe or the United States via Seoul.
Agents can position the new product as an ideal upgrade for business travellers, honeymooners and high-value leisure clients seeking a technologically advanced cabin experience at a competitive fare point. With increasing focus on luxury-light premium travel, this upgrade aligns with evolving customer expectations.
