If you’re sizing up Fiji’s best kid-friendly hotels, chances are Radisson Blu Resort Fiji, Denarau Island will make the shortlist. Now, the property has had a facelift, making it an even more appealing proposition for Aussie families considering a Fijian getaway.
The 12-month, FJ$6 million revitalisation has been designed to lift the guest experience across every corner of the property.
From fresh dining venues to family facilities, wellness upgrades and beachside comforts, the revamp blends style with the warmth that keeps travellers returning to Denarau.
Dining has been a major focus, with restaurants Basilico Italian, Byblos Lebanese, Blu Bar & Grill and the iconic Swim-Up Pool Bar all sporting new looks.

The upgrades introduce lighter tones, modern furnishings and open layouts that capture Fiji’s breezy, tropical feel, ideal for long lunches or cocktails by the water.
The refresh also extends beyond the plate. The redesigned lobby now sets the tone for the entire stay, welcoming guests with soft lighting, natural textures of wood and stone, and more space to sit back and soak up that first island moment. A new open layout has made check-in smoother and faster, helping travellers slide into holiday mode from the moment they arrive.
Next door, the all-new Lailai Market brings together café culture and convenience. Guests can grab freshly brewed coffee, gourmet pastries and smoothies before heading off to the pool or tours, while those needing a sunscreen top-up or last-minute souvenir will find everything in one easy stop.

Families are well catered for too, with a major revamp of the Blu Banana Kids Club. The refreshed space now includes indoor slides, a mini climbing wall, and creative play areas designed to keep young travellers entertained for hours. Its direct connection to the Marau Entertainment Area also means kids can easily move between club activities and larger resort events.
For those craving downtime, the Harmony Spa has been reimagined with tranquil tones and new treatment spaces, while extra cabanas and umbrellas around the pools and beachfront create more shaded spots to relax.
“These improvements reflect our ongoing commitment to delivering unforgettable stays for our guests, many of whom return year after year,” Radisson Blu Resort Fiji, Denarau Island General Manager Charles Homsy said.
