Cruise Month 2025 has gone big, championing CLIA advisors on digital billboards in major cities in high-traffic locations as part of the most extensive campaign ever mounted by Cruise Lines Industry Association Australasia and its members.
Throughout October 2025, CLIA ran a digital billboard campaign, directing travellers to book their next cruise with a CLIA-certified travel advisor.
The ads have appeared in high-profile commuter locations, including train stations, ferry wharves, airports and motorways.
In addition, this year’s Cruise Month initiative has involved an expanded program of social media activity, digital advertising and other promotions designed to celebrate cruising, such as special cruise editions in weekend travel sections.

Activities followed four weekly themes: Ocean Cruising (5-11 October), River Cruising (12-18 October), Expedition Cruising (19-25 October) and Luxury Cruising (26 October – 1 November).
The month also introduced a bigger-than-ever webinar program for CLIA travel advisors, new Spotlight Sessions for river and expedition cruising to create learning resources and a series of weekly Cruise Month specials for CLIA members.
It followed last year’s successful Cruise Month outing, which saw record-breaking consumer engagement and advisor participation.

CLIA Managing Director in Australasia Joel Katz said: “Cruise Month is about generating excitement around cruising and channelling that interest towards CLIA members.”
“As always, our message is that a CLIA-certified travel agent is the most professional and knowledgeable advisor to help plan the ideal cruise holiday.”
