Sydney will score another stylish stay with its first AC Hotels by Marriott set to open in late 2027, marking the design-led, upscale lifestyle brand’s third Australian property and the first AC Hotel Sydney in NSW, targeting Millennials and business travellers.
AC Hotel Sydney Hyde Metropolitan is part of the new Hyde Metropolitan 55-storey mixed-use, luxury residential and retail tower on the southern edge of Hyde Park in the CBD in an agreement between Marriott International and Sydney developer Deicorp.
The new-build, 104-key hotel will feature a ground-floor all-day dining restaurant, AC Bar & Lounge on level six and a grab-and-go F&B concept, plus meeting rooms, an AC Library and a state-of-the-art gym.

Hotel hallmarks include the European-inspired AC Kitchen and AC Lounge – complete with tapas and signature gin cocktails – alongside an AC Store and the curated AC Library space.
The Sydney site at 133 Liverpool Street will join AC Hotel Melbourne Southbank and the soon-to-open AC Hotel Gold Coast, expanding the brand portfolio in Australia under Marriott International’s Select category of modern properties.

AC Hotels by Marriott are designed to attract Millennial and business travellers with minimalist, European-inspired décor and design and smart, purposeful amenities.
Marriott International Director of Hotel Development – Australia, New Zealand & the Pacific Tristan Cooper said: “Expanding Marriott International’s footprint in the tightly held Sydney market is always a milestone. This lifestyle hotel is slated to bring a sophisticated edge to the Sydney market.”

Deicorp Founder & Chair Fouad Deiri added: “Together with Trilogy Hotels and Marriott International, we will deliver the first AC Hotel in Sydney, reflecting the project’s vision of refined elegance and style.”
“It will introduce a grand new hotel experience to the Hyde Park precinct: design-led, elegant and perfectly positioned.”
