Travel Associates is launching a new “head-office-based business” to cater for the next-generation luxury traveller who is more “digitally literate and likes to reach their advisor through modern channels”.
Leading the new business will be Ben Monaghan, who has worked for Flight Centre Travel Group for almost two decades.
Travel Associates General Manager Australia and New Zealand Rachel Kingswell says it’s a business model that has been “built for growth.”
“Bricks and mortar will always be at the core of our business model, but we acknowledge that we have a changing market to cater for in both the new luxury traveller and the new luxury advisor.
“The next generation luxury client is more digitally literate and likes the option to reach their advisor through modern channels like social media and direct message.
“They’re also more likely to be working during the week, so this team will be more available after hours.”

“There’s a growing number of advisors that value flexibility and this new team, led by Ben, will allow them to work at flexible schedules aligned to client demand from wherever they please, which we believe will really enhance both the advisor and client experience.
“Ben truly embodies our brand values, and it was clear from the moment we sat down and started talking about this opportunity that he was the right fit, and the right person to propel this new business into success.”

Monaghan says after building a strong and loyal client base over the past 20 years, this feels like the perfect alignment.
“This move allows me to further elevate the level of care and sophistication my clients receive, while also being part of something exciting as I lead and grow this new business model under the Travel Associates brand.”
The new business will trade as Monaghan & Turner Travel Associates.
