Cruiseabout relaunches Business Ownership Scheme to turn team leaders into storeowners

Cruiseabout puts its team leaders at the helm with the revival of its Business Ownership Scheme (BOS), allowing eligible managers to buy into the stores they run and share directly in its success.

Cruiseabout puts its team leaders at the helm with the revival of its Business Ownership Scheme (BOS), allowing eligible managers to buy into the stores they run and share directly in its success.

Since its relaunch in 2023, Cruiseabout has expanded its national retail network to eight stores, with seven more on the way in 2026, and grown its retail and head office team of cruise specialists to more than 80.

Cruiseabout General Manager Brad Kennedy said the BOS relaunch is a natural extension of the brand’s values, ensuring that the people driving growth share directly in its rewards.

The scheme is invitation-only, reserved for team leaders who have demonstrated the leadership, performance and character to run their store as a genuine owner.

BOS participants receive a direct share of their store’s profit, a seat on an exclusive Owners Advisory Board and public recognition across the Cruiseabout network.

Kate Moulton from Cruiseabout North Lakes (Queensland) and Christina (Crij) D’Agostino from Cruiseabout Whitford (WA) are the first team leaders to enter the scheme.

“I now feel like a valued business partner, having skin in the game has been incredibly empowering, I feel motivated to raise the bar with the team to achieve continued success,” Moulton said.

“Having been there from day one, building the store with such a wonderful team and seeing the success it continues to achieve has been so rewarding. I’ve never taken a leap like this before, so backing myself and becoming a BOS owner is something I’m incredibly proud of,” D’Agostino said.

Kennedy added: “The timing is deliberate. Australia’s cruise market continues to grow, and Cruiseabout is scaling to meet demand, making the ability to attract and retain exceptional people more critical than ever. BOS is one of the most powerful tools in that mission.”
