British Columbia’s Harbour Air returns to Seattle and adds three new routes

Harbour Air will launch its biggest seasonal network expansion to date in 2026, bringing back its Vancouver-Seattle service from 13 April and adding three new routes across British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest.

Harbour Air will launch its biggest seasonal network expansion to date in 2026, bringing back its Vancouver-Seattle service from 13 April and adding three new routes across British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest.

The British Columbia-based seaplane carrier specialises in linking coastal destinations by floatplane, and its expanded summer schedule includes a new Victoria-Seattle route, plus services to Ucluelet and Campbell River.

The expansion gives travel sellers more short-haul options to package into Canada and US West Coast itineraries, while also improving access to coastal British Columbia communities.

The service is the company’s “biggest seasonal expansion yet”, Harbour Air chief commercial officer Chris Fordyce says.

“The Vancouver-Seattle route has been one of our strongest seasonal services, and we’re thrilled to bring it back.”

The return of Vancouver-Seattle flights

Returning on 13 April, travellers are offered a fast alternative to the usual three-hour drive to and from Vancouver’s Coal Harbour and Seattle’s Lake Union. This downtown-to-downtown route is set to run on departures twice a day and connects travellers to these destinations in one hour.

The returning flights will also give cruisers a quick way to get to Seattle from Vancouver and vice versa, offering a faster alternative to driving, ferry connections and traditional airport travel.

New direct Victoria-Seattle flights

Harbour Air also announced a new direct cross-border service connecting Victoria’s Inner Harbour with Lake Union in Seattle in under one hour. Launching 11 June, Vancouver Island travellers can fly a simple non-stop link to Seattle without having to route through Vancouver.

Australians keen to experience Victoria Island can expect to find major heritage sites and diverse wildlife. The 32-meter viewing deck of the Malahat SkyWalk offers panoramic views of mountains and sea inlets, where travellers can hope for bear and whale sightings.

The new Ucluelet and Campbell River flights

Harbour Air’s new flights to Ucluelet start on 25 June. Ucluelet is named one of Expedia’s ‘2026 Destinations of the Year’ offering visitors views of old-growth rainforests in their ‘Wild Pacific Trail’

On 6 July, flights to Campbell River are available to travellers with Harbour Air. Widely considered the salmon capital of the world, Campbell River is renowned for reeling in international travellers for salmon fishing. The region is also know for its backcountry adventures and whale watching

“These additions strengthen our network and give coastal B.C. travellers more ways to explore the region and beyond,” Fordyce says.
