Global travel insurance giant Europ Assistance becomes Redion with strong ANZ focus

Europ Assistance rebrands worldwide as Redion, introducing a new global brand with a focus on local growth in a major shift to the travel insurance landscape in Australia and New Zealand.

Europ Assistance rebrands worldwide as Redion, introducing a new global brand with a focus on local growth in a major shift to the travel insurance landscape in Australia and New Zealand.

The move unites Europ Assistance and Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) under one brand for its Care platform, backed by global reach and local authority, bringing clarity for clients and partner.

In the ANZ market, Redion will emphasise its locally led decisions across the full travel‐insurance value chain, supported by global scale and 24/7 traveller support.

With more than 12,000 employees and operations in 190-plus countries, it’s the global market leader for employee benefits, following the acquisition of Swiss Life Network earlier in 2026, and the world’s number two in assistance and travel insurance.

It serves multinational corporations, global travel companies and financial institutions and their clients, including embedded insurance for Flight Centre Travel Group‘s leisure brands.

For travel advisors, existing clients and partners, while the brand is new, contracts, service teams, phone numbers and SLAs remain the same.

“Redion reflects the determination of our teams to deliver an enhanced, integrated and technology-enabled proposition for clients and partners worldwide,” Parisi said.

Sebire added: “In Australia and New Zealand, the new name will give a clearer identity as a global care company with a strong local presence.”

“After becoming a licenced general insurer in Australia in April this year, we continue to work hard to become the leading travel insurance and assistance provider in the ANZ market.

“Travellers will now be able to turn to Redion, one unified care company part of the Generali Group, benefiting from deeper, broader expertise at every stage of their journey,” he said.
