Qantas has discounted 1.4 million domestic Economy seats from $105 one-way across more than 190 routes and almost 60 destinations, on sale from 10-16 June 2026.
The latest Australia Red Tail Sale spans select travel dates between 22 July 2026 and 23 May 2027, covering some of the busiest periods on the Australian calendar, including spring and summer school holidays, Christmas 2026 and Easter 2027 on select routes.
Of the routes on offer, 33 are priced under $150 one-way, including Melbourne to the Gold Coast, while 59 routes sit under $200 one-way, including Brisbane to Hobart.
All Economy fares include checked baggage and complimentary food and beverages.
Which routes are cheapest?

The entry fare sits at $105 one-way from Sydney to Ballina (Byron Bay). Other sub-$150 fares include Adelaide to Kangaroo Island (Kingscote) and Brisbane to Newcastle from $119, Melbourne to Launceston from $119, and Melbourne to Adelaide and Hobart from $129.
Sydney travellers can reach the Gold Coast, Merimbula, Orange or Toowoomba (Wellcamp) from $129, while a string of regional New South Wales ports, including Albury, Armidale, Coffs Harbour, Dubbo, Port Macquarie, Tamworth and Wagga Wagga, are on sale from $149.
It follows a wave of domestic discounting with cheaper Qantas and Virgin tickets available even during school holidays.
Where the longer hauls land

Transcontinental and outback routes feature too. Perth to Melbourne starts from $329 one-way, Perth to Brisbane and Canberra from $349, and Darwin to Perth or Sydney from $299.
Adelaide to Alice Springs is on sale from $209, Townsville to Mt Isa from $169, and Melbourne to Hamilton Island from $209, giving options across coastal, regional and remote demand.
Qantas Domestic CEO Markus Svensson said the timing was pitched at early planners.
“We’re making it easier to plan ahead, whether it’s a trip away for school holidays, Christmas or Easter, booking early means one less thing to worry about,” he said.
“With 190 routes across almost 60 destinations on sale, there’s something for everyone, from coastal escapes to outback adventures, there’s no shortage of reasons to book.”
The release also lands as Virgin Australia trimmed its schedule while slashing more than 1.5 million fares in a major domestic sale in April 2026.
KARRYON UNPACKS: A 1.4 million-seat release that includes Christmas, Easter and school holiday peaks allows advisors and travellers to lock in domestic leisure travel early. The regional spread, from Kangaroo Island to Mt Isa, is where the value sits for clients beyond the capital-city runs.
