Cunard’s 2,061-guest Queen Victoria will undergo a major renovation, including adding new premium staterooms, and Australian travellers will be among the first to see the refreshed ship when she calls into Sydney in 2027.
Queen Victoria will enter dry dock for the transformation from 17 October to 5 November 2026, returning to service for her 2027 programme spanning the Mediterranean, Norway and a world voyage – including Sydney.
The Sydney call on 24 February 2027 includes sectors to and from the harbour city, giving Australian travellers an early look at the transformed cruise icon.
What is changing on board?
The renovation includes Queen Victoria‘s signature spaces, with a refreshed Grand Lobby reworked to enhance the sense of arrival, and a reimagined Queens Room that continues to host Cunard’s afternoon tea, live music and gala evenings.
The Grills Suite – the most luxurious and spacious suites on the ship – will be upgraded, with Queens Grill and Princess Grill Suites gaining new furnishings, detailing and design.
Eight additional Britannia staterooms are also being introduced, including three in a new premium category – Britannia Deluxe Oceanview – featuring floor-to-ceiling windows for panoramic ocean views.
Wellness cafe added
Queen Victoria becomes the third ship in the fleet to introduce The Pavilion Wellness Cafe, following its launch on Queen Anne in 2024 and Queen Elizabeth in 2025.
The venue serves breakfast, lunch and daytime dining, with a menu built around plant-based cuisine alongside sustainably sourced meat, fish and dairy.
