A new Qantas sale has dropped, with 400,000 seats to 30-plus destinations, including its new nonstop Sydney to Las Vegas service from $1,199.
The Qantas sale spans the Pacific, Asia, and North and South America, with fares across Economy, Premium Economy, Business and First Class for travel on select dates between 28 July and 30 June 2027.
Economy one-way fares to Auckland start from $359 out of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast, giving trans-Tasman clients an entry-level lead-in.
The sale runs until 11:59pm (AEST) Tuesday 4 August 2026, unless sold out prior, with select blackout dates applying.
A world-first nonstop
For the first time, Qantas sale fares are available on the airline’s new nonstop Sydney to Las Vegas service, with Economy return fares from $1,199.
Qantas will become the first airline in the world to operate a nonstop route between Australia and Las Vegas, with the seasonal service running from 29 December to 12 March 2027, subject to government and regulatory approval.
The route eliminates the need to connect through another US city, saving up to five hours in travel time. It operates three times a week on Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, opening a long-weekend option to the Nevada city.
“For the first time, our nonstop Sydney to Las Vegas service is included in a sale,” Qantas CEO International Cam Wallace says.
“With our flights departing Sydney on Friday and returning on a Sunday it enables a new long weekend travel option in one of the world’s most iconic cities.”
President and CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority Steve Hill says the timing suits Australian travellers escaping summer.
“For Australians looking to escape the peak of summer, Qantas is making Las Vegas an even more compelling getaway,” he remarks.
“January and February offer comfortable weather, ideal for hiking and exploring the surrounding desert landscapes. Beyond that, visitors can take in world-class entertainment and dining. It’s the perfect time to experience the electric energy of Las Vegas.”
Where the value sits
Bali, consistently the top outbound destination for Australians, features with Denpasar Economy return fares from $699 out of Sydney and Melbourne, and from $759 out of Adelaide via Sydney.
Other Economy return lead-ins include Singapore from $879, Tokyo (Narita) from $1,249, Vancouver from $1,399 with the Sydney service flying nonstop, and Santiago from $1,799 for South America.
Los Angeles starts from $999 return out of Sydney, London from $1,899, and New York from $1,499. Premium Economy, Business and First fares are also on sale across the network, with Sydney to London in First from $15,999 return.
Wallace says the spread of destinations is the drawcard.
“This sale is about giving Australians more choice when it comes to booking their next international trip, whether that’s a bucket-list trip to South America or a quick weekend escape to Auckland,” he states.
“It’s also a great chance to lock in fares to some of our most popular international destinations, from Bali and Tokyo to Vancouver and Santiago.”
It’s been a big seven days for Qantas, with the flying kangaroo and Melbourne Airport signing a deal supporting the hub’s $4.5 billion expansion, and the carrier’s first A350-1000ULR test flight from France to Australia landing in Melbourne.
