Famils, ongoing support, exclusive deals and more – being a member of Scenic’s ‘Elite’ program is as rewarding as it sounds.
Launched in 2007, the program has been a hit amongst agents and now has over 300 consultant signed up from Australia and New Zealand.
As part of the program, agents have access to exclusive information, marketing material, unique training support and best of all famils!
Scenic describes its ‘Elite’ agents as experts of its products, mostly because they have in-depth knowledge of an access to all the latest news about the line and have had the opportunity to travel extensively with the company.
In fact, it was only last month that a group of agents were the first to experience the line’s newest vessel Scenic Jasper during a special launch famil.
Outside of trips, ‘Elite’ agents receive comprehensive training through Business Development Managers.
During training sessions, the line provides marketing support and assistance with the development of campaigns and activities for an annual marketing strategy.
The company also offers access to a wide range of marketing collateral and access to bespoke marketing and media support for co-op campaigns.
But perhaps the biggest advantage to being an ‘Elite’ agent is that new Scenic clientele are referred to them at consumer information sessions and through the Scenic website.
This means new business and more money.
While Scenic may not be the only travel company to offer such programs, Elite, Melanie Stedman from helloworld Winston Hills said it surpasses any others she is currently signed up to.
She said all the information provided through the company is not only highly beneficial to her business, but also shows the level of support Scenic offers its Australian consultants.

“Scenic is very hands on, they’re always available to talk and the Elite program really acts like a heads up on new products so that I can promote them to my clients.”

She said once information about a new product is issued, she uses it to send emails to clients that have either cruised Scenic before or those she thinks may enjoy cruising with the line.
This often results in new bookings, particularly from former Scenic guests who returned from their trips saying the trip exceeded their expectations.
Lyn Spain from Yarra Travel Junction who has been in the industry for over 25 years, is also amazed by the level of support Scenic provides its agents and says the program plays a big role in making her bigger clients happy.
“Scenic gives me support in getting groups together and provides excellent service both from the Sales Department and the Groups booking department.”

“It was a Scenic sales representative’s initiative that in 2007 we commenced doing groups each year.”
“We have now done six groups with Scenic and a tenth group to South America this September.”
