China isn’t the only country in Asia Qantas is hoping to pick up new business, the airline is also looking to Hong Kong and the Philippines where travel demand continues to rise.

Revealed this morning, the Flying Kangaroo will add additional services to both destinations to meet passenger traffic growth.

Commencing 26 October this year, Qantas will operate an additional four Sydney-Hong Kong services each week, on top of the current daily services available from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Flights will depart Sydney for Hong Kong on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and return to Sydney on the same days departing Hong Kong at 9.35pm.

Services from Sydney to Manila will increase from four to five per week between early December 2015 and late March 2016 to offer more capacity during the peak holiday season.

The additional flight will depart Sydney on Sundays from 5.25pm and depart Hong Kong from 11.50pm on the same day.

New flights will be operated by Qantas’ refurbished A330 aircraft with lie-flat seats in Business and new Economy seats.

Flights for the new Hong Kong services are available from today. Launch fares start from $688 return and are available for booking until 11 September 2015. Travel dates apply.

The new Manila services will be available for sale next week.

Last month, the Australian watchdog said it would grant Qantas and China Eastern joint operations on services between Australia and China.
