Wendy Wu Tours, one of the leading group tour operators between China and Australia, recently hosted an eight-day trade famil to Shanghai, Xi’an and Beijing after a three-year hiatus.

As part of the launch back into the market and after the announcement China has returned to Australia’s Approved Destination Status (ADS), Wendy Wu organised a jam-packed itinerary for the Aussie travel agents.

Wendy Wu’s State Account Manager for Vic/Tas Christine Yatridis hosted the group.

The trip embarked with a thrilling ride on the 301km/h Maglev train in Shanghai and a high-speed bullet train to the group’s final destination, Beijing.

The experience included a visit to Shanghai’s bustling Pudong Financial District and the picturesque riverfront area of the Bund.

Guests also enjoyed an evening cruise along the Huangpu River with views of the Shanghai skyline lit up.

The trade famil follows the recent announcement of Qantas returning to mainland China after relaunching its Sydney-Shanghai service.

Earlier this month, Wendy Wu also announced it has spots available for the cherry blossom season in 2024.
