The Australian Cruise Association has revealed its new-look executive and management committee for 2024 with Chair Philip Holliday at the helm along with newly appointed Deputy Chair Brendan Connell and Treasurer James Coughlan.
The new Australian Cruise Association executive team of Holliday (Port Authority of NSW), Connell (Port of Brisbane) and Coughlan (Shorex Australia) also welcome an updated management team.
Karlie Cavanagh (Inchcape Shipping Services) was re-elected for a new term along with Andrew McKinnon (South Australia Tourism Commission) who comes aboard as a new member.
Kristy Little (Tasports) and Shayne Murray (Cruise Broome) remain on the management committee into 2024.
Mr Connell replaces Scott Lovett (Tourism Northern Territory) as Deputy Chair after two terms in the role.
ACA CEO Jill Abel thanked Mr Lovett for his contribution and ongoing counsel for the APAC marketing member organisation amid the cruise industry recovery.
“I would like to personally thank previous Deputy Chair Scott Lovett who stepped down this year after serving two terms during a highly challenging time for our industry,” Ms Abel said.
“Scott provided us with excellent counsel and steered us through some particularly stormy waters. We look forward to him continuing as a trusted advisor in the Association.
“We are in a very exciting time for our industry as cruise continues to go from strength to strength.
“Our newly formed executive and management teams represent a range of organisations who can provide us with the deep expertise to take us into the future,” she added.
