What do you love about this industry?
As an industry, we are all involved in millions of people’s life stories. Each client’s travel needs and experiences are unique, whether it’s a family trip to Queensland or a solo expedition through Mongolia. And we get the privilege to be part of those stories, of creating and delivering something unique every time. For us, it’s always personal.
What country would you love to go to next?
Colombia.
From its palm-fringed beaches and lush Caribbean coast to its emerald coffee plantations, towering peaks and wildlife-rich savannahs — Colombia is a tapestry of intrigue with tremendous cultural diversity. Brightly coloured villages, street art and show-stopping museums reinforce the country’s rich artistic traditions, while its landscapes reveal a diversity that is hard to find the world over.
A&K’s has recently opened an office in Colombia too and we can’t wait to share this destination with Australian travellers.
What does A&K mean to you?

How does A&K support advisors?
We think of ourselves as a one-stop-shop for advisors. We know how busy they all are so we can help save them time by curating personalised touring itineraries for their clients.
With A&K, advisors have their own personalised travel specialists – one dedicated consultant who is there for them throughout the booking journey. A&K has control of the whole client experience with our on-the-ground DMC network across nearly 60 locations and our own lodges, camps and ships. This is something that is unique to A&K: our own team on the ground around the world. It ensures personalisation and that we are right there for them if they need us.
What extra touches does A&K show that offers a little more love for clients?
We like to think ahead by add extraordinary touches to lift a client’s experience, to surprise and delight them. For example, if clients are travelling on a multi-region itinerary, our local guides will find out what the clients have enjoyed the most in a particular location. They will then call ahead to the A&K person in the next region to advise them so they continue to curate experiences they know the clients love. Personalisation and curation doesn’t only start with the original journey design, it continues all the way through to the end of the client’s journey with us. A&K takes exceptional to the next level. This is the A&K tailor-made experience.
Anything exciting that you can share?
It’s an exciting time for A&K. Last year we opened new offices in Namibia, Saudi Arabia, Colombia and Canada. We have some very exciting announcements that we can’t wait to share with you this year around the opening of new offices and new lodges – watch this space! This week’s big announcement is the new destinations featured in our Luxury Expedition Cruise 2024/2025 portfolio release including the North Pole, Saudi Arabia and the Solomon Islands.
