Agents have a mega adventure in South Africa

South African Tourism and South African Airways (SAA) whisked away SAA’s top performing travel agents on an incentive prize winning mega familiarisation to South Africa.

South African Tourism and South African Airways (SAA) whisked away SAA’s top performing travel agents on an incentive prize winning mega familiarisation to South Africa.

The 39 agents made up four groups; the Baboons, Leopards, Warthogs and Springboks, and were fortunate enough to cover different areas of the country and see what diverse experiences it had to offer.

The Springboks group set out on a quest to spot the ‘Big Five’ at Phinda Safari Lodge and taste an authentic ‘Bunny Chow’ dish in Durban whilst the Leopards soaked up the urban vibes at Arts on Main in Johannesburg and gazed at amazing views of Blyde River Canyon.

The Warthogs visited Cape Town’s Table Mountain, tasted the delicious wines on offer at Franschhoek, and spotted the endangered black rhino at Madikwe Safari Lodge. The Baboons soaked up the Garden Route, swam with seals and came face-to-face with Great White Sharks during a shark cage dive.

Host, Lalie Ngozi said the trip is part of the group’s ongoing commitment to agents and showing them diversity of South Africa was a pleasure.

“The overall consensus was that South Africa has an amazing diversity of experiences in the one country which they can offer to their clients and deliver great value. They also reported that high quality service and smiley faces a stand out.”
