According to new research by finder.com.au, almost half the nation is planning to take a holiday in December or January.

Of those travelling this summer, over one in four, or 28%, booked their holiday by July, a whole six months beforehand.

This could mean that you’ve made your summer holiday commission off your clients already, but remember, not everyone is so organised.

Plus, there’s a whole one in five or 21% of Australians who are still undecided on whether they’ll take a trip this holiday season. There’s a golden opportunity to clock up some more sales before Santa comes.

Kidman has advised Aussies that New Year’s Day is usually when flights begin to dip in pricing, pointing out to potential travellers that if they’re happy to skip the New Year’s Eve festivities, they could really save.

Of those going away over December and January, one in seven (15%) are jetting off overseas while almost a third (31%) are taking a holiday within Australia.

Just remember, it’s not too late to help your clients book their sweet summer getaway.
