The great Chimu sale
Following the success of Chimu’s 2020 Vision campaign in December which encouraged travellers to think not only about where they would travel but how they would travel in the coming year by showcasing their most environmentally and socially conscious experiences, the adventures included in the Great Chimu Sale continue in this vein by offering heavily discounted, once in a lifetime holidays which contribute positively to local communities; reduce, re-use and recycle; are making efforts to limit carbon emissions or are fundraising for a good cause.
Experiences in the sale include US$1000 off per person, plus a free night in Santiago/Punta Arenas and a US$100 spa voucher per person on Chimu’s Spirit of Chile trip.
Travellers will stay at the prestigious Tierra properties in the Atacama Desert and Patagonia. These hotels have channelled innovative architecture to blend into their distinctive landscapes and the hotel group is part of an ambitious reforestation project to plant over a million trees in Chile.

Also featured in the Great Chimu Sale are Antarctic trips aboard Chimu’s new ship, the Ocean Endeavour which will set sail for the very first time in November 2020.

For the sale period, Chimu will be offering up to 25% off 2021/2022 expeditions.
The Ocean Endeavour is making a concerted effort to be a more sustainable Antarctic option: it is making an industry first by double carbon offsetting every departure and is implementing plastic reduction measures such as no straws, refillable bottles and the provision of toiletry dispensers.
