Top CLIA advisors can take their travel careers to the next level, gaining the industry’s highest qualifications through the CLIA Masters Program. The second intake for 2023 of the elite training and development program starts on 18 September.

The six-week Cruise Lines International Association Masters Program invites top CLIA travel agents to develop new skills and stand out from the crowd.

The new CLIA Masters Program offers a more tailored course with content, analysis and overall assignment personalised for each advisor.

Participants will learn how to pursue new revenue streams, capitalise on data and technology and differentiate in a competitive retail landscape.

On completion, CLIA Masters receive 100 accreditation points and attract a higher search ranking on the CLIA Australasia website.

CLIA Head of Training & Development Peter Kollar said less than two per cent of travel advisors are certified CLIA Masters, giving these agents an advantage as cruise specialists.

“The program is available exclusively to CLIA Ambassador members in Australasia and Asia, who are already among the most highly trained cruise agents,” Mr Kollar said.

“Take your skills to an even higher level, focusing on business development and creating new strategies to build your client base and sales.”

CLIA has also launched a traineeship program in partnership with TAFE NSW. Find out more here.
