The more super Superpass

If you’ve read anything about the Snow Highway, you know it’s been delivering world-class ski fields along one scenic route from Christchurch to Queenstown since 2023.
From award-winning Mt Hutt to Coronet Peak and the Remarkables, ANZCRO’s Snow Highway packages give your clients all the excuses to stay and ski longer, branching out across the South Island.
Now, with the newly added resorts – Porters, Mt Dobson, Ohau, and Roundhill – Australian snow bunnies have even more access to Southern Alps mountains that deliver the goods every winter.
That’s not all. The Superpass allows your clients to swap a ski day for over 60 off-mountain experiences at select Queenstown and Canterbury activities, retailers and restaurants.
By booking through ANZCRO, you offer your clients unparalleled flexibility for an idyllic winter getaway.
More mountains, more adventure

The fun never stops when you’re winter road-tripping from Christchurch to Queenstown. Especially now, there are seven epic ski fields to include along the way!
Here’s where your clients can ski or board with their Superpass.
1. Porters *NEW*
Around 90 km west of Ōtautahi Christchurch along the Great Alpine Highway, Porters is the closest ski field to the Garden City. For Aussies flying into Christchurch International Airport, it’s the perfect ski vacay warm-up slope, with great family-friendly terrain.
In the Craigieburn Range, Porters is suitable for beginners through to advanced skiers and boarders, and its epic Southern Alps views kick off a Snow Highway roadie just right.
2. Mt Hutt
A little further south and only 110 km west of Christchurch, Mt Hutt is an award-winning ski field near Methven.
With the largest skiable area on the South Island, a long season, and reliable snow, it’s easy to see why Mt Hutt is popular. The mix of beginner, intermediate, and advanced trails make it great for everyone, and the Southern Alp views are the proverbial cherry on top.

3. Mt Dobson *NEW*
Also new to the Superpass for 2025, Mt Dobson is near Fairlie, a quiet rural town 190 km southwest of Christchurch.
This relaxed, family-owned ski field prides itself on its welcoming atmosphere and wide-open terrain. It’s ideal for families and intermediate skiers and boarders.
4. Roundhill *NEW*
Having a ski field to pop into while checking out Lake Tekapo on the Snow Highway is a win for travellers wishing to cram in as many bluebird days as possible! You can reach Roundhill within an hour from Tekapo’s key attractions.
Roundhill’s groomed slopes cater to both beginners and advanced snow lovers, and it has the world’s longest and steepest rope tow. The piece de résistance? The spectacular views of Aoraki Mt Cook and Lake Tekapo!

5. Ohau *NEW*
Near Lake Ohau and 100 km from Tekapo, Ohau ski field is a quiet spot known for its uncrowded slopes, great powder conditions, and postcard-perfect views of Lake Ohau.
The slopes are suitable for all skiing and snowboarding levels and those seeking a relaxed atmosphere.
6. Coronet Peak
There’s so much to love about Coronet Peak: its proximity to Queenstown (it’s only a 20-minute drive), its modern facilities, diverse terrain, and the chance to ski at night.
Coronet Peak is attractive to all levels and those seeking a vibrant après-ski scene after a fun day on the slopes.

7. The Remarkables
Also close to the Adventure Capital of the World, The Remarkables wow with its freestyle terrain parks and varied slopes.
With runs for all levels, a welcoming atmosphere, and jaw-dropping views, it’s easy to see why The Remarkables is a favourite ski field among snowboarders and skiers alike.
