The Helloworld OMC Conference 2024 was held in Sydney from 2-4 May, concluding with a spectacular gala dinner hosted by Qantas at the Overseas Passenger Terminal on Saturday night.
After two days of valuable conferencing and networking, delegates and suppliers were eager to unwind and enjoy the evening.
The Qantas Choir set the tone with a stirring rendition of “I Still Call Australia Home,” followed by an energetic performance by the band that immediately got everyone dancing.
With the theme “A World of Opportunity”, conference attendees expressed optimism about the future of the travel industry.
Conversations with seasoned owner/managers highlighted the enduring importance of passion for their work, customer care, and industry relationships despite changing trends and technology.
The OMC featured an impressive lineup of product updates and keynote speakers, including Qantas CEO Vanessa Hudson, Olympian Grant Hackett, founder of Carmen’s Carolyn Creswell and motivational expert Ben Crowe.
The networking lounge was also a highlight, with preferred partner suppliers showcasing their offerings. Notably, Viva Holidays marked its 50th anniversary with a spirited “Sale of the (Half) Century” game, where glittering attire was a must.
In an exciting announcement, Vancouver was revealed as the destination for OMC 2025, setting the stage for another year of networking and exploration.
As the conference came to a close, attendees departed with renewed inspiration and a sense of camaraderie, ready to embrace the opportunities ahead.
