The Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) has opened ticket sales for its first Beyond Borders Travel Summit.

The industry event will take place at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney on 25 October, the day before ATIA’s National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA).

The Beyond Borders Travel Summit is an opportunity for travel industry professionals and the wider business community to network and discuss the industry’s resurgence and emerging trends for 2025 and onwards.

This year’s event will feature guest speakers such as Graham “Skroo” Turner of Flight Centre, Gai Tyrell of the Globus family of brands and Gavin Smith of Royal Caribbean.

ATIA CEO Dean Long said in a statement: Beyond Borders is not merely an event; it is a collaborative summit that unifies industry veterans and upcoming professionals, fostering discussions on innovation and growth.”

“With a conservative estimate of over 500 registrations expected, the venue is primed to accommodate up to 1,000 delegates.  It’s a unique opportunity to gain insights, network, and exchange knowledge as we shape our industry’s future together,” he said.

“NTIA Finalists will be our honoured guests for the day, and Beyond Borders will be an important precursor to our National Travel Industry Awards celebration.”

Students can join the event at discounted rates to prepare the next generation of industry leaders.

ATIA is the peak body for Australia’s $69 billion travel industry, representing most travel agents, corporate agents, tour operators, wholesalers and ITOs.

Last month, ATIA launched a brand-new incentive, calling on members to showcase their Australian Travel Accreditation Scheme credentials on social media to win a trip for two to Singapore.
