Club Med hosted more than 100 international and Australian trade partners from seven countries at its Bali resort last week for a four-day event to celebrate the return of the Indonesian island as a tourism destination.

Club Med Bali reopened on 28 May and has seen travellers, particularly from Australia and New Zealand, flocking back with bookings surpassing all other Club Med Asia Pacific destinations for both last-minute 2022 and 2023 sales, reinforcing Bali as a perennially popular holiday hotspot.

Attendees participated in local cultural activities and iconic Club Med experiences, including Balinese cooking classes, flying trapeze and archery, and also explored Seminyak where the buzz of the area’s popular bars and retail stores is returning.

The newest enhancement to the brand’s family and wellness program was also revealed, Mini Club +,  designed to offer enrichment and encourage personal growth and empowerment for kids aged four to 10 years.

East, South Asia & Pacific (ESAP) Markets CEO Rachael Harding welcomed guests and discussed trends about Indonesia’s tourism rebound and the South-East Asia region as a whole.

General Manager for Pacific Michelle Davies said that it was a real privilege to finally welcome back the brand’s trade partners to one of its most beloved resorts.

“For almost all attendees, it was their first time overseas since the pandemic,” she said.

“The positivity and excitement from everyone to return to Bali could be felt across the four days, and everyone was so impressed with the resort.

“Club Med Bali was our last resort worldwide to open after the pandemic and we can’t wait to welcome more Australian and New Zealand guests.”
