Forget internships, what you really want is an inturtleship (AKA hanging in the Maldives with turtles). The two-week opportunity IS unpaid but it does come with FREE flights and accommodation in one of the most beautiful places on earth.

The opportunity is being put forward by luxury resort, Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu, which is also the home of the Olive Ridley Project Marine Turtle Rescue Centre.

The successful applicant will enjoy the perks of “a beautiful guest villa and have full board benefits at Cowrie restaurant.”

Flights will also be included as well as some bucket-list activities like a Sunset Cruise and a guided snorkelling trip in the stunning Baa Atoll.

So, what’s actually involved in this inturtleship?

The turtles will need to be fed and have their tanks cleaned and you may have to attend rescue missions to collect turtles in need and help with the release of rehabilitated turtles back into the ocean.

You’ll share your new found knowledge with other guests visiting the centre, take part in Olive Ridley Project presentation evenings and post on the Olive Ridley Project’s social media platforms.
