Bicton Travel celebrated 20 years of business with a gala charity ball on Saturday evening at Perth’s Hyatt Regency Grand Ballroom where the Bicton Team raised an impressive $51,045 for Camp Quality.
Almost 400 clients, travel industry partners and staff celebrated with a night of entertainment while doing their bit to support the charity that helps children whose lives have been touched by cancer.
Bicton Travel Founder Carole Smethurst opened the event with a heartfelt message of thanks to the industry partners who had dug deep to donate a vast range of door prizes and silent auction items.
“Everyone in this room will have personally been touched or at least know someone who has dealt with cancer, when that person is a child it’s a heart wrenching situation that Camp Quality deal with day in, day out.”

“Whilst tonight is recognising the milestones that Bicton has achieved its more important that we do all we can to assist this great cause,” she said.
“For every $1,000 raised we can assist 1 more child in Western Australia.”
Camp Quality believes every Australian child impacted by cancer – be that their own diagnosis or the diagnosis of someone they love – should have every opportunity to thrive.
They do this by providing innovative programs and services to develop life skills and strengthen the wellbeing of children aged 0 – 13 growing up with cancer, and their families.
