The Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO) has achieved milestone membership levels, welcoming almost an additional one-third (30%) of new businesses to the peak industry body compared to the same period last year.

CATO celebrated this achievement by doubling down on its dedication to championing the interests of Australian-based outbound tour operators and wholesalers.

It remains committed to driving the growth, sustainability and recognition of its members as invaluable contributors to the Australian travel landscape.

The achievement caps off its position as the preeminent industry association advocating for its members, Managing Director Brett Jardine said.

“The resounding success of CATO’s new Accreditation program, coupled with our highly engaging annual events and ongoing advocacy efforts, showcases our unwavering commitment to nurturing strong member relationships,” Mr Jardine said.

CATO member and Albatross Tours Managing Director Euan Landsborough said the association had become a valuable resource for his business for its industry insights and operational expertise.

“CATO has positively and professionally evolved so well over the last few years. Its leadership through COVID was exemplary and the focus on delivering insightful, industry-leading educational events throughout each year provide numerous opportunities to collaborate with like-minded, professional business owners,” he said.
