CLIA Cruise Month sails into final week on a surge of industry support

Cruise Lines International Association Australasia’s Cruise Month campaign is cresting on a wave of social media activity from travel advisors to highlight the month-long celebration of all things cruise in September 2022.

Cruise Lines International Association Australasia’s Cruise Month campaign is cresting on a wave of social media activity from travel advisors to highlight the month-long celebration of all things cruise in September 2022.

CLIA Managing Director Australasia Joel Katz said this year’s #LoveCruise theme had been met with a huge wave of support, capitalising on the excitement around the worldwide cruising renaissance.

“This year’s Cruise Month has a heavy focus on social media and we’ve seen some fantastic pick-up among travel agents who have amplified the initiative through their own digital campaigns,” Mr Katz said.

“We’re seeing a great mix of imagery, videos and tactical offers to promote cruising as well as a lot of personal insights from well-travelled cruise specialists.”

CLIA is also offering an AUD$1,000 prize towards to cost of a cruise booked through a CLIA-certified travel advisor. To be in the running, entrants need to explain in 25 words or less why they #LoveCruise here.

To close the September campaign, CLIA travel advisors are encouraged to tap into the Cruise Month Toolkit’s digital resources to mount their own Cruise Month campaigns.

Accessible via the CLIA Members Hub, the kit allows advisors to download and post cruise images, social media tiles, suggested text, videos and other digital assets.

The kit also includes professionally written editorial for advisors to use in blogs, newsletters and other communications to help inform and inspire clients.

The final Cruise Month weekly theme focuses on Luxury Cruising. The Cruise Month Toolkit includes editorial highlighting the latest innovations from luxury cruise lines, as well as videos, images and social media tiles about high-end cruise experiences.
